Fred's Pass Rural Show 2011
16-May-2011
The first show in the annual Darwin Show Calendar sets a high standard. On the weekend of the 14th & 15th May, the Fred’s Pass Society put on a rural show that attracted record attendance. Nimble Homes & MPJ Foundation Solutions teamed up together to promote their Rural Living options suited to remote locations.
In particular, we showcased:
- Footing solutions that offered superior strength, speed and pricing over concrete.
- The Duralok Fencing - an attractive low maintenance fence that is designed for Rural Living.
- Nimble’s x 3 award winning home designs, displaying Tropical Environmental living responses.
As well as offering show specials, we conducted a Customer Survey to get to know our Rural customers a little more and we promised to post some of the more interesting findings.
Here they are:
- Clients have their own preferences on things like outdoor showers or location of the kitchen, however one message is very clear natural ventilation is a universal winner.
- An average home size (150~200m2) seemed appropriate and, if granted extra money in their budget, greater external amenity was generally a focus over internal space or environmental features.
- Of the selection of Environmental Power / Water / Lighting or Air-conditioning, Environmental Water harvesting and saving is the first order of business.
This, as well as the other items in your feedback, has assisted us in our 2011-12 review. Please come in to discuss how we have implemented changes to our list of designs. Finally, we have subscribed Joy Kirk as the winner of the year’s subscription. Thank you to everyone who took the time to give us the feedback.
